Management

 Florin CIONTU - Chief Executive Officer

Florin CIONTU pursued research at TIMA Labs in Grenoble where he initiated and coordinated a program focusing on nanotechnology. Prior to TIMA, Florin was involved with iRoC Technologies where he worked on the development of algorithms for implementing on-chip fault tolerance to radiation effects. Florin holds a CS Engineer Diploma from "Polytechnica" University of Bucharest. He also participates in several programs focusing on the contribution of technology to sustainable socio-economic development.

 Bernard COURTOIS

Bernard COURTOIS holds the "Ingénieur", "Docteur-Ingénieur" and "Docteur-ès-Sciences" degrees. He is currently the Director of CMP Service that is servicing Universities and Companies from about 60 countries for ICs/MEMS prototyping and small volume production. He is a member of ACM, ASME, IEEE and IMAPS. A IEEE Computer Society's Golden Core member, he is also Doctor Honoris Causa of the Technical University of Budapest. He contributed to the creation of several companies including MEMSCAP (Euronext: MEN), AREXSYS, iROC Technologies and NanoSPRINT.



 Joel MONNIER

Joel MONNIER is currently active in the development of the strategy of several companies, after holding the position of Corporate Vice President and Director of Central R&D of ST Microelectronics for 15 years. Prior to this, Joel was a Corporate Vice President for Manufacturing since the merger between Thomson Semiconductors and SGS Microelettronica. While with ST, Joel Monnier was a key actor to reinforce the competitiveness of ST's technology in order to guarantee the strategic independence of the Group. He has been the main contributor to the R&D joint programs with Philips and Motorola (the "Crolles2 Alliance"), with TSMC, and to the joint Mask Center with Dai Nippon Printing in Agrate. He has promoted and supported ST participation in many cooperative European R&D programs like MEDEA+ (Micro-Electronics Development for European Application).  Joel's earlier career includes working with Texas Instruments after starting in 1968 as a researcher with CENG (CEA).  Joel is an alumni of the "Ecole Nationale Superieure de Radio Electricité" in Grenoble and wrote his doctorate thesis while working at LETI, an R&D laboratory, part of France's nuclear energy agency.



 Matthew LAUDON

Matthew LAUDON is co-founder and executive director of business development for the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Laudon is an expert in academic to business relations. He obtained a Ph.D. with the Wisconsin Center for Nanotechnology and Synchrotron Radiation Center and has subsequently worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), Motorola in Los Alamos National Laboratories and numerous Boston area start-ups in micro and nanotechnology commercialization and partnership development. He has worked as a technology commercialization consultant for; VC, legal, academic, start-up and established technology corporations. Dr. Laudon has served as an NSF - NNI proposal reviewer and as an advisor for the Massachusetts Nanotechnology Initiative. He has published over 30 technical publications and patents in topics ranging from nanotechnology, semiconductors, microsystems and optics. Dr. Laudon is the co-founder of the Nano Science and Technology Institute and is the co-founder and chair of the International Nanotechnology Conference (Nanotech 1998 - 2007).
